The John Bowlby Centre offers a 4 year, part-time psychotherapy training at postgraduate equivalent level leading to membership of the Centre of Attachment-based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (CAPP) and professional registration with the United Kingdom Council of psychotherapy (UKCP).

Our training includes


Radical new developments, particularly in fields of trauma, attachment, loss, abuse, dissociation, addiction, sexuality and diversity

An understanding of the impact of society on the mind and mental distress

Studies in attachment theory, relational and psychoanalytic perspectives

Infant observation and life cycle study.

Our next psychotherapy training course begins September 2008 and we are currently open to applications from all sections of the community.
